r/CannabisThailand Newsletter - Issue #04
Another week brings more people challenging the legalization of weed in Thailand.
Doctors and pharmacists have joined the chorus of people demanding re-criminalization.
However the Thai Marijuana Act Consideration Committee (say that five times fast) has pretty much rejected demands to stop cannabis sales.
However, someone in the health ministry apparently thought they were in charge and sent an order to the head of the police asking them to arrest anybody who is selling marijuana without a license, even though there was no way to apply for a license (the government has since published an application form).
Dispensaries scrambled to make sense of what was going on and even the Thai police said they had no idea what to make of the order to arrest dispensary owners.
Eventually someone higher up than the person that issued the order rescinded the order.
That was our little piece of drama for this week.
In other news, the r/CannabisThailand community has spoken and 33.7% of you voted that you prefer to buy cannabis via online dispensaries. That barely edged out physical dispensaries which received 31.3% of the vote.
This week we're asking about your favorite way to consume cannabis. You have until Wednesday to vote.
Speaking of dispensaries, we've been adding a lot of new dispensaries to the wiki so be sure to check out all of the new spots.
That's it for this week.

What are import laws like in Thailand now? — www.reddit.com
Every dispensary I've gone to has imported/"exotic" cannabis strains, while I know this was the norm far before legalization occurred, i'm curious what happens now if I'd order a pound of kush from California just like that? Would it not be an issue?

suggestions for tourists — www.reddit.com
Dear Friends,
Any local joints or "private" spots to light up as I'm visiting Bkk and found that it is impossible for me to find a discrete spot with no one around.
Where do you guys usually do your business? I'm staying in a hotel so I am keen to find a spot to light up my bud.
Update: I had the most intense trip ever yesterday.
After taking 2 puffs I felt I was gone, had a paranoia attack while on the busy n bustling streets of Chinatown. Went back to hotel and had mutiple trips, in deep hallucination, lasted me 2hr and when the effects worn off I started feeling a tiny bit of joy.
Now that I'm sober, it was indescribably odd and new experience for me, I've been smoking for almost 8 years but never have I had such an experience before ever in my life.
This serves as a precaution to all tourist if you're trying medical grade stuff for the first time. Make sure to go small, shit is strong.
This is mind boggling and life changing, something that I tell my grandkids about when I'm 80.
