One has to wonder when the cannabis market in Thailand will become too saturated.
It seems like one or two dozen dispensaries are opening up every week, mostly focused in the usual spots, Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Phuket, etc.
While it hasn't resulted in dramatically lower prices yet, it seems some dispensaries are beginning to realize that just selling weed doesn't make them very special anymore.
Just in my small part of Phuket, Rawai, with an official population of 40,000 people, there are at least 9 dispensaries. I say "at least" only because there are many smaller bars and other places selling weed that are too small to have an address or social media presence.
This week was H.M Queen Mother's birthday which gave many people a long holiday weekend and many dispensaries marked the occasion to have promotions.
The promotions were mostly of the "Buy X grams and get a free joint" or "Free shipping" variety but perhaps it's an indication that the weed game has gotten more competitive and dispensaries are feeling the pressure.
I've also noticed an uptick of activity from dispensaries on social media, making more posts, pumping out more content on LINE and other apps.
Hopefully lower prices will be coming soon.

REVIEW The Permission to Sell Controlled Herbs (Marijuana/Marijuana)

Permission granted for entrepreneurs in Bangkok. You can ask for it at Department of Thai Traditional Medicine and Alternative Medicine, Building 3, 7th floor, Ministry of Health. For those who have opened a shop in other provinces, you can ask for it from the Provincial Health Department in the province where the shop is opened.
The documents to be used 2.1 COPY OF APPLICANT'S ID CARD 2.2 copies of applicant's house registration (if it's an entity, prepare the entitlement document) 2.3 business map, draw or google map 2.4 Corporate lease or title deed of ownership 2.5 Photos of our shop / factory 2.6 The source of the sold cannabis flowers. For example, if you grow it yourself, you need to register to grow it for business through the Cannabis Plant App and Print out the registration document. Or if you buy it, you need to show a receipt or trade certificate from the seller. 2.7 If the document is complete, pay 20 baht for the request fee, we will get the request receipt to use as substitute (can be used as substitute while waiting for the actual license) and after that within 2 weeks, the actual license document will be issued and we have to pay 3,000 baht for the document (for sales license)

The rules, which officials emphasized, prohibiting children under 20, pregnant and lactating women, and smoking marijuana in stores and in public.
The process of asking for permission is easy. Just prepare all the documents that need to be used correctly. If you haven't asked yet, don't forget to ask for it.

guys is there anything I can get in super cheap that kills spider mites? I can't read all the labels and the staff has no idea what I'm talking about. Also what are you guys doing against heat-stress? this sun is pretty tuff an my plants. I don't wanna move them into the shade cause they are already getting just 9-10 hours direct sunlight.
