Sawadee Everyone,Thailand's attention shifted from cannabis to whether or not Prime Minister Prayut would get booted from his role as head of the government due to the fact he has served the constitutional maximum of 8 years or if he could stay on until the next election (spoiler alert: he got moved to Minister of Defense). People are still digesting the news from last week about specifics that are in the proposed cannabis laws. While, most of it seems to be just good old common sense, one new rule that may become problematic for many dispensaries is the prohibition of online sales. Facebook, IG, LINE, etc are full of dispensaries with no physical address who are willing to sell cannabis to anyone. If the new law keeps the "no online sales" clause, that means that once the law goes into effect all of those dispensaries will instantly become illegal. That could also impact brick and mortar dispensaries too. Surely, many dispensaries enjoy some robust online sales, especially from customers that may live in more remote or rural parts of Thailand without a dispensary. We'll have to wait until we see a final draft says but that's an interesting section to keep an eye out for. Last week in our poll we what your normal edibles dosage is. Surprisingly, 16.4% of you said more than 500mg. The 10mg - 19mg and 20mg - 50mg groups were very close with 24.3% and 22.9% respectively. This week's poll asks how often you get high. The numbers are already looking very heavily tilted toward high frequency users. Cast your vote to have your say. It was a light news week so I'll cut it short right here and let you get back to enjoying your Sunday. Cheers,u/CannabisThailandMod
