r/CannabisThailand Newsletter - Issue #11
Sawadee Everyone,
This week was sort of two steps forward, one step back as the Democrats and Pheu Thai teamed up to send the pending cannabis bill back to the drawing board.
One Democrat even demanding that the Ministry of Public Health re-criminalize cannabis until a new bill is passed.
Given that the Minister of Public Health is the same person who campaigned on legalizing cannabis, that is highly (no pun intended) unlikely to happen.
The move also drew backlash from cannabis activists.
Arun Avery from Highland called it "Idiotic" and pointed out that many of the children and relatives of the ministers that pressured for the bill to be withdrawn are themselves involved in the cannabis industry.
Soranut Masayavanich, from Sukhumweed, called the move "selfish."
To a degree it's ironic that the Democrats and Pheu Thai ministers that said that the bill didn't do enough to address recreational use, have ensured that the status quo, essentially no laws, will remain in effect until a new bill can be presented.
Minister of Public Health, Antuin said that there may not be a new law until March of 2023.
Poll Results
Last week we asked how many grams per month you buy and 29.5% said that you buy over 30 grams a month. 25.4% said they buy 10 - 30 grams per month, 21.9% said 3.5 - 9 grams, 12.1% said 1 - 3 grams, and only 11.2% of you buy less than a gram a month.
This week's poll asks what is the most important consideration for you when you buy weed. Voting until Wed.
Cheers,

Sell/explain the benefits of buying and using a Dry Herb Vaporizer in Thailand — www.reddit.com
I read the results of the poll last week and the second result was herb vapes. I understand the basics but I have never tried one. I quit cigarette smoking at one point with liquid vapes (I know they are completely different) and then Thailand came out with it clearly being banned in 2015 and I went back to smoking.
Any commentary is welcome, but some specific questions.
Some say herb vapes are legal because it's not liquid - can anyone point me to where Thai law says that?
Aside from the health benefits of not smoking herbs, are there any other benefits? Do you get a better high for example?
I probably can Google this but do you mix your herb with some other leaf in a herb vape or can you just throw in bud?
