Sawadee Everyone,The Bong Rip Scandal, Bongate, or whatever you want to call it, continued last week. It looks like the anti-cannabis people are scoring some points in the media by exploiting this isolated incident. Minister of Public Health Anutin was forced to backpedal a bit this week and address accusations that he was trying to shift blame for the boys smoking weed onto other agencies. To a certain degree both sides are right. Anutin is indeed trying to shift blame by asking where the boys got the money to buy weed and a bong and why the kids were on the streets to begin with. And, at the same time, those are perfectly valid questions that should be answered. But probably a more relevant question would be, if cannabis is so dangerous, why are there so few incidents involving cannabis in the six months since legalization?
