At the Thai Parliament, a significant movement is underway. A coalition of cannabis networks and associations, representing Thai farmers, entrepreneurs, and the public, has submitted a draft cannabis law backed by 14,000 signatures. This proposal aims to transform Thailand into a global center for cannabis innovation and health.

The draft law, presented by Mr. Wichian Srisud, chairman of the cannabis network, emphasizes the medical, commercial, industrial, and agricultural benefits of cannabis. It proposes a five-year plan to develop and learn from the cannabis industry, ensuring benefits for humanity while maintaining strict controls to prevent misuse.

Assistant Secretary to the President of the House of Representatives, Mr. Thongchat Ratanavichai, received the draft law. The proposal will undergo verification before being presented to the President of the House for further action.
