Speaking at Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital in the Prachin Buri province, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party reiterated his intent to push his party’s pro marijuana agenda.
The Bhumjaithai Party has made it clear that they would like to see marijuana become a cash crop for Thailand and Thai farmers.
In the run up to the elections in March, Anutin and his party were also strong proponents of allowing people to grow up to six marijuana plants per household for medicinal purposes.
While denying support for recreational legalization, the party has said that they wish for marijuana to be legal for all medicinal purposes.
Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital is well-known for its work with alternative medicines and has worked with marijuana products previously. They are also one of the first medical care facilities that will be allowed to treat patients with medical marijuana medicines.
